After over four decades in recovery and many years as a lukewarm disciple,  Holy Spirit led me to use my education and experience to  make myself available to anyone needing a hand up and out of despair. 

I'm here to be a confidential listener to help wise people navigate life trials, such as grief, depression, suicidal thoughts,  prodigal children, and other challenges, such as addictions to alcohol, drugs, sex, pornography, gambling, smoking, over-eating, etc. 

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Counseling Psychology, a Master's Diploma in Biblical Counseling, and Certifications in "Life Recovery"  and "Recovery Alive". My approach is both biblical and experiential based on over four decades of experience in  recovery through an "anonymous" fellowship.

But I do not rely on my own understanding or experience. I depend on God's Word, our ultimate authority. He has the solution to all of our problems. My goal is to help you and me discover God's perspective on your situation.  

The main ministry He has given me is to be a listener.  I will listen to you. I will  listen to Holy Spirit, and trust Him to "guide you into all truth." (John 16:13)

As a lay counselor I am not a "professional" and  I'm not licensed by any government agency. As such,  I am not a "mandated reporter." This means that our conversations will always be completely confidential.  

If you have been given the "gift of desperation" send me an email and we can connect. If I sense that you need more  or different assistance than I can provide I'll let you know and do what I can to point you in the right direction for appropriate professional help. It can sometimes take weeks to get an appointment with a professional, so I will do my best to be a bridge between your present pain and whatever professional services you may require.
